Polymorph

A man made killing-machine which, unfortunately, turned out to be insane. The polymorphs were created to be the perfect warrior; their ability to shape-shift into anything suited them to any terrain. In practice they used this ability to provoke strong emotional reactions from their victims and then drain them of that emotion.

The first polymorph drained Mr Rimmer of his anger, Mr Lister of his fear, Mr Cat of his vanity and me of my guilt. I believe I offered the others up as a sacrifice to the beast - although I did offer to commit suicide when I realised what I'd done.
