Hallucination
Thus far we have encountered several means of causing hallucination. Mutated pneumonia (see later) and Psiren influence are both extremely powerful. (Especially for one Dave Lister, who will never forget what he saw the Channel 27 weather-girl doing with her pointy stick.) Most deadly of all is the ink ejected by the despair squid, an organism brought to the very peak of aquatic evolution by scientists aboard the SSS Esperanto. The ink causes those who encounter it to suffer from bouts of misery - often brought on from hallucinated circumstances - ultimately leading to suicidal tendencies.
Suggested treatment: Lithium carbonate, and a suggestion to cheer the smeg up.
