Synopsis

Supplies are low. The water has been recycled so often, it's beginning to taste like Dutch lager. Then a malfunctioning guidance beam drags the Dwarfers to a deserted space station...

Cast

Chris Barrie (Rimmer), Craig Charles (Lister), Danny John-Jules (Cat), Robert Llewellyn (Kryten), Nigel Williams (Legion)

Did You Know?

Legion contains arguably Red Dwarf's most famous continuity glitch: the removal of Lister's appendix by the titular character, despite Thanks for the Memory having planted a previous appendectomy as one of the memories granted by Lister to Rimmer. The Smeg Ups tape explained this away as "He like the operation so much, he decided to have it again", while the novel Last Human instead suggested that Lister was actually born with two of the redundant organ.

The belly mould for the appendectomy scene was not taken from a cast of Craig Charles - but instead of VFX guru Mike Tucker.

The episode's working title was Call Me Legion.
