Did You Know?

This episode originally had the working title Men of Honour.

If not for Marooned, then the new-for-Series-III shuttle craft might have been called "White Midget". But it was pointed out during the development of the series that a white ship against a snowy white background does not a particularly arresting image make - so the craft got a hasty respray, and a new name to reflect its bulbous shape and green colour scheme: Starbug. However, an inadvertent reference to the old name was left in the script for later episode Bodyswap.

Yes, that was real dog food.
