In our very first interview since the Red Dwarf movie's first crew members were announced, movie storyboard artist Jim Cornish lets lose on his time in the movies with the penguin who, sadly, is still angling for a film role.
Jim Cornish is something of an up-and-comer in the world of film artistry. His stunning storyboards have been employed on Event Horizon, Lost in Space, Long Time Dead, Extra Time, Essex Boys, Highlander IV, the ill-fated Thunderbirds live-action movie and the successful Dinotopia series. He has also worked on Space Precinct, Rough Treatment, Incognito and Swept from the Sea.
He has worked as a conceptual illustrator on Bicentennial Man and Fortress II, as well as TV's Tenth Kingdom, and is currently doing boards for the forthcoming Red Dwarf movie following his work on Red Dwarf VIII.
