Posted Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 17:23 NEW Claire_C wrote: KingRichard76 wrote: Today started of with me travelling from Southend to Liverpool Street then to Bank then to Waterloo- right at the last minute (literally two minutes before my Train was ready to depart to Shepperton a Friend of mine - those who were coming with me texted and said if I got on the train to go to Epsom he'd pick me up so quickly got off the Train and got onto an-) Enough of this. We drove to Shepperton and had got there a little bit early so we took advantage of getting a rather fabulous Photo Got into the gates and directed to the multistorey carpark then we were escorted to the holding area and I chose then to unleash the full contents of my bladder- did this before our numbers were called. There was such a HUGE buzz of excitement as we made our way over to Stage K and once through the doors I couldnt help but make noises of extreme enthusiasm when we saw glimpses of the set and then made our way to our seats. At this point - and I know its been said before, but Red Dwarf has really gone back to its roots, its almost as though BTE never existed or maybe it did and Doug saw the Fanbases response and seriously knuckled down because what I saw tonight kicked Series seven and eight WAY out of the ballpark- only those who've been to this or the other two recordings will know exactly what I mean and very soon so will the rest of you who'll be seeing this. The warm up man commented about just how loyal the Fanbase was and what happened there, and then Mr. Doug Naylor came out and reiterated what has been said before. "I fought with Dave to get an Audience." And by God do the Boys LOVE the Audience, the performance I was most impressed by was Craig Charles he has seriously matured as an Actor, (I remember him constantly larking about with Bobby when filming Rimmerworld) but there was hardly any of that in tonights recording, Danny was Fantastic as usual, Bobby (as mentioned by others) comes out in Full character and Chris a true genius. Laughs came from everything from Danny Smegging up hysterically, to remarks of a creaky bit of Camera equipment by Mr. Barrie. The laughs werent forced, the laughs came from the fact that the Audience (some came from Norway... Some from Aberdeen and that poor Audience member who went to the bog only to come back unbeknownst to him the Warmup man had asked about his Girlfriend- the warmup man did what he could to entertain us... I wonder if the dude on the front row ever got his footwear back. Anyways the storyline tonight as already been mentioned by Andrew is going to be very much talked about when it airs, and indeed one of the best and most funniest, well acted scenes was seen tonight (I'm just hoping they keep in our first reaction - those who were there will know exactly what I'm talking about) One of the biggest rounds of applause came when Chris fluffed a line and honoured us by doing his wonderful Kenneth Williams impression - naturally we were in awe of this. Everything I saw tonight was nothing short of brilliant. Theres more I could say but tonight was incredible and I will say this (and its not an exaggeration) with what we saw tonight I wouldn't be surprised if there was a TWELFTH Series - because the Acting, Writing, spot on Comic Timing and of course the Ideas and the Writing is there. The Boys are most definitely back. KingRichard76, Sunday 8th January 2012. I saw the first show and I know what you mean. So glad to hear they're maintaining that quality. This makes me very happy

RE: The News we've all been waiting for. Posted Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:41 NEW Well today's update confirms what we already knew. And it seems that we we may have a ship, in length, somewhere inbetween chunky Dwarf and pencil Dwarf! ![]() "I give full permission for anybody to fart and laugh at my funeral." - Mrs. Yeckel, April 2012

RE: The News we've all been waiting for. Posted Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11:47 NEW Very, very exciting news today. I'm as giddy as a school girl! I can't wait to see the model shots. That preview picture is stunning! I wonder if they have built a new Starbug model or if they'll just use CGI or an old model? That is presuming Starbug will be in the show?

Or at least it seems the design will be similar to said design. The real revolution is the (R)evolution of values.

Looking at the teaser pic posted on twitter a few days ago it had the look of the pencil type Dwarf plus the model had the engines of the remastered pencil dwarf as well. I could be hopelessly hopelessly inacurate of course. Currently having a crappy week and wanting to go home.

RE: The News we've all been waiting for. Posted Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 11:07 NEW I can't believe you lot are praising the model, its DISGRACEFUL imo. Look at the rear end, completely TWO DIMENSIONAL, I don't know if this is a plot point or a way to explain Holly not being in the series (maybe Holly's computer housings were in the section of RD that seems lost) but whatever the plot reason having only three quarters of a ship with no rear end or engines AT ALL spells DOOM AND GLOOM for series Ten Based on this terrible clip I will now petition the BBC to have a whip round to restore the crimson rouge one to her former, three dimensional glory and stop this penny pinching leaving us with a disgusting hole where the engines should be. Don't watch series x until they put an engine on the ship! Shout it from the rooftops, fandom!
