But it's a pre-RDX on the forum examination, so I'm guessing there'll be another chance, including the new episodes, after there's been a bit of time for people to watch them, new people to turn up (and get introduced to Dwarf), and perhaps we'll see if opinions have changed following the episodes.

I'd like to revise my Series 8 ratings, thank you. If that's alright, of course.

Back in the Red - 6
    Cassandra - 5
    Krytie TV - 5
    Pete - 4
    Only the Good -5

    :-D

This is apparently the last day for everyone to add your ratings (unless Presuming Ken decides to extend the close date), so be quick if you haven't taken part already.

I knew I remembered doing a similar poll a fair while back...

Excellent! Well found, Belle! Comparing results over the last couple of years adds a new dimension to the poll.

It was a very different format though, and in my opinion flawed.

And this format isn't? It's just as flawed as any other.

It might contain small flaws, but I think it'll turn out to be a good reflection of the fans' tastes.

The earlier poll suffered by allowing people to only rate a few episodes rather than them all.

But the method used was more standardised, so you pick your top six and points are allocated accordingly, rather than based upon a non-standardised scoring system wherein an identical preference could be worth a different amount.

I don't think one can be praised above the other. You can use the old one for a comparison in terms of positioning and what comes out on top and such forth, but both remained heavily flawed, and always will be. I guess in that respect it helps to have two flawed systems for benefits of comparison, as if one was markedly better it would render such a comparative observation void.

Happy as I am that people are joining in and posting their votes, it's only a totally unofficial online poll started by one bloke with a calculator. So it's flawed indeed :-)

And with 32 voters so far, it's by no means the biggest poll. Although to be fair I think it's quite an accurate representation of fan's views judging by the results as they are right now :-)

So are you going to do another one for the six episode of series X after that series has aired?

    I wont be, no.

To all, apologies for my 'extension' post earlier on.

Voting has now closed and the results thread is up. Cheers.

    I'll probably do one then.
