Been a while since we had some of these. They're all musicals which won a Tony or Olivier award.

If a musical has something like "...the musical" in its name, I've taken that out to avoid confusion. So Tex in the City: A Musical - if such a blockbuster actually existed! - would appear as Tex In The City.

    Lit belly-oil

Oboe from hot monk - The Book of Mormon
    I bathe minivans
    Hot old robbers
    Oozy racy fur
    Died of the forlorn
    Gladly sounds
    Airy harps

    Blameless sir - Les Misérables
    Lo! Angled belly!
    A dry family
    Almost, Pa!

Bit of a crap Anagram mate.

I can think of 6 musicals, Chicago, West Side Story, South Pacific, We Will Rock you, Lion King, all of which aren't there, and the 6th is Les Miserables, which is Blameless sir.

    Tenth icy exit?

Shame it's Cappers - the Twelfth Doctor - regenerating in the snow. I could have gone for a Doctor Who theme. There's been enough episodes that, according to the law of averages, there will be at least one old serial where the Doctor takes delivery of a mysterious oboe from a hot monk.

    ...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they're off!

I'd call Norman Lovett's dyslexic autobiography Role: Man on t' TV.

Because I'm a Lovett fan, I couldn't choose the less tenuous - but more negative - Lamer Not on TV.

    First clue:

Does anyone remember the time I booked a ticket for a show, not knowing anything about it... and when I got there, it turned out it was aimed at miners accompanied by their parents?

Were their parents concerned that if they left them unattended, they might go on strike?

Well, I can see this forum isn't the hotbed of musical theatre I thought it was.

The clues were for Billy Elliot (hence "miners" rather than "minors") and Fiddler on the Roof.

I love doing anagrams, so would anyone like to suggest a topic for me to get stuck into?
