Half-spoilers. The most perplexing of them all. Cue the ominous music.

I really hope the guest stars in the new series are as good as some of the old ones. i kind of wish some of the good comedy actors and comedians from today could be incorporated somehow. Bill Bailey as an evil crazy stimulant, Greg Davies... as some evil dude, maybe even Julian barret.

I'm trying to think of one that hasn't been mentioned yet, but I think I have to go with either Tony Hawks as Caligula, or Lenny van Dohlen in Back to Reality. Dohlen is absolutely tremendous in that cameo. I'm not gay or anything but I could listen to him read out a shopping list as that character; the way he enunciates everything with crystal clarity, sounding like an American aristocrat, is a joy to listen to.

Other than that, I love the voice of the DNA computer - does that count as a guest star?

Oh and who can forget Jane Horrocks. Revealing my snobbery and love of posh voices yet again, I find her accent in that role very easy on the ear.

And completely different to her real, very broad Lancashire accent. She put in a great performance in that episode.

Yes, it's hard to believe it's the same woman! Just goes to show what drama schools used to do for young actors.

Ha, just Youtubed it. Very funny. I can see I was unwittingly sounding like that goofball.

In actual fact, my phrasing was, though not intentionally reminiscent of any movie character, deliberately hilarious.

Jenny Agutter as Professor Mamet in Psirens.

It's so wrong to find her attractive, being as she's old enough to be my mum...

Is this a good time to mention you've referenced a guest character of RDX in the Classic Dwarf conference?
