I expected those cats in japan pics to show them being served on dinnerplates
Whaaat? They don't eat cats in Japan! They highly respect them!
That's quite true. I spent 3 months in Japan getting trained in Robotics and CNC Lathes/Punches. The Factories there (at least the bigger ones like where I trained),have ...... dorm's I guess you could call them for the workers who worked late. That's where I stayed. (an aside ...... they installed a satellite system JUST SO I COULD WATCH THE SUPER BOWL!) Anyway...... cats were everywhere and everyone and I mean everyone fed them, petted them etc. I would sit beside the Koi pond (yeah they had one of those at the factory too, sweet huh?), after work and end up with 5 or 6 cats rubbing on me.... sitting in my lap etc. Cats have it good there!
I do think @neilold was just joking though. Here in the States its a playful cliché that Chinese restaurants serve Cats because you sometimes can't tell what kind of meat it is by looking. Is it the same on your side of the pond?
I was joking, and yes we very much have it this side of the pond, if not seventies and eighties stand ups in this country would have being missing ten minutes of material. Although in this country several Chinese restruants, to my knowledge alone, have being shut down due to what is called 'suspicious meat'
Tbh Neil, when I hear there's suspicious meat around, I just think you've wandered into an establishment with your willy out.
That is also a distinct possibility Nikki, I've being sussed!
I have just exploded with cuteness overload at the pics of kitties! <3 <3 <3
None of those kitties are as cute as you kittypaws, swoon
MORE CATS PLEASE
As you wish!
So I noticed Charlie, who is my cat, was eyeing up a cat outside
He told me that this very beautiful cat, who is not my cat, was his wife.
I told Charlie not to tell lies. Cats do not get married and anyway, that cat wouldn't be anyone's wife even if they could, cos it's a boy cat. His name is Finn.
Charlie then called out the window to Finn "Yo! What d'ya think of chin strap beards?" Finn looked disgusted and walked off.
I am not surprised by Finns reaction to chin strap beards.
Yeah me neither. I would've reacted in much the same way in this situation, if I was Finn.
We need Finn on the forum so we can know what he thinks about things
Yes. I shall suggest it to him.
Well, I was just wasting time surfing around the net and found this. It was on a cat/pet themed blog and was obviously written by someone to whom English is a second language but its worth a perusal. I present Pink Dwarf!
Here's a quick short sample of what you'll see: "If you are not common with this BritCom, it all began with Dave Lister, a lower-quality technician on the Jupiter Mining Company spaceship Pink Dwarf. Dave is the personification of the bachelor slob substantially to the annoyance of his neurotic bunkmate, Arnold Rimmer."
Ages ago Charlie got a bit fat and started wearing a bowler hat. One day I asked him if he was going to consider growing a beard. He was very enthusiastic until I suggested a chin strap one. Then he just gave me a really cynical look.
I mentioned getting a chin strap beard to Harley. As you can see she contemplated suicide. Luckily I was able to talk her down.
