Well yeah, it does actually. "Here" and "There" are both pro-nouns in his answer denoting specific destinations/positions.
They are actually both adverbs, but using them on their own in such an answer implies that they are modifying 'am' in the implied phrase 'I am', which is implied since neither here nor there would be particularly relevant to @Bluey's post if he was not being.
