Anyone have any word on the DVD? What would you like to see?
I think it's a given that there will be an option to watch BTE as a whole, commentary, smeg ups, deleted scenes, making of, photo gallery, trailers and easter eggs.
Would love an optional laughter track, a better making of (and more indepth) than the one shown on DAVE, a long interview with the whole cast as a group on thier personal thoughts of BTE, Universe Cahllenge from BBc2's RD night and the mobisodes!!

I would very much like to have the option of viewing the episodes seperatly or in the form of a feature length. Pherpahs an extended version as well. Would like to see all the Dave promo's and behind the scenes footage that has already aired. Footage of the script read through if it exists.
Would also like to see some archive features that previously have not been released on DVD, such as Red Dwarf on Ready Steady Cook and Red Dwarf does University challenge, both part of the 10th anniversary celebration. As well as the previously unreleased music video versions of the tongue tied song.

In particular I'd like to see the following:

    • Cast commentary
    • Doug Naylor commentary
    • All the Dave trailers
    • A new documentary
    • Deleted scenes

That ones already been released, it was on series 4 or 5 or something like that as an extra.

I think if we get the same type of extras as we've gotten for the rest we'll all be happy.

Wouldn't it be great if the DVD packaging was the same as shown in episode 2?, same outer box etc (the one in the coming soon dvd cabinet), thereby playing on the whole "what is reality thing".

In the shop they also gave a relatively prominent position to a card that said release date was 27th June. I would not at all be surprised to see it released then ;-)

Behind you!!! Ha Ha made you look!
Cast/crew commentary as an extra subtitle option - so I can enjoy the show and comments at the same time!

The only feature I want is for it to be released in the US.

Most of the listed features here are good.
I would like to have the option of viewing the shows in pieces or as feature length show. DVD (and Blu Ray) allow this fairly easily.
I never realized how important subtitles are until I dug out the Series I DVD and discovered that only the TV show had subtitles.

We have small children and a small apartment so I have to keep the volume down and often read the subtitles, plus a lot of my friends are non-native English speakers and need the subtitles to be sure they understand.

Robert Llewellyn said that they are doing commentary for the new dvd but they have not done it yet because they need to find a time slot where everyone can do it.
