    What exactly IS an Elderflower? And what kind of taste does it impart?

    elderflower cordial is made from sugar, water and elderberries, plus usually lemon juice to retain it's tarteness, it also lasts ages coz of the sugar

    O.K. .............. but what does it TASTE like? Is it Tart? Sweet? Is it Blueberry or Mango? Tastebudwise I would like to know. Is it mellow , delicate and faintly sweet like Honeysuckle? Or bold and tart like a Blackberry?

    from what I remember, which was a long time ago, it had a honeyish slightly fruity flavour, that reminded me of flowers. It's a long time ago, it's one of those flavours you've just gotta taste, rather be described to you. It's like the taste of dr pepper or irn bru, hard to describe. I think you can use it as an ice cream topping to
