Did anyone notice how the end credits song became much slower, and lacked some oomph at the beginning of season three? It's like they vamped up the opening tune, but couldn't have the ending being vampy too, so they toned it down.

If you never noticed go ahead and take a listen to the season two end credits, then the season three end credits.

Actually, both end themes run at the same speed - and from I've found out before they were recorded at the same sessions as the original. It was effectively just a different mix, choosing different instruments as were used before. The vocal is the same. I prefer the series III mix personally. The much stronger beginning to the end theme seems to work better, along with the more reggae beat with slap bass. I don't know if you've noticed, but in series IV they went back to the original theme, but for series V and VI they apparently randomly used one or the other. Not sure why!
