Kryten's mask is looking far better this week :-)

Another slow start I thought, although the Lister video scene just had me howling.

That sequence with Lister talking to his 'dad' on the video screen was bloody wonderful! I think it might well go down as a classic moment in Red Dwarf history.

Was Kryten wearing trainers in his first scene, or were my eyes glitching?

Has been OK so far, not as funny as Trojan, but an interesting watch, particularly the father-son conversation. The Pree selection and guitar bit were probably the funniest parts so far.

I have to say, I'm actually enjoying this more than last weeks, but there still is that little feeling in the back of my head that something isn't quite right. I just can't put my finger on it.

Oh, and is Cat going to start every scene he is in by dancing into the room and asking "what's happenin'?" That's 3 times in 2 episodes (so far) that he's done it.

It was a very good scene the Lister video one :-)

Agree, although I liked the Kryten and Rimmer scene booting up the computer and it'd be hard to say the Lister-Lister scene wasn't funny. Feels like we've got a lot of story to get through before the end, though! Intrigued to see how this wraps up.

I was just smegging myself with laughter, but in bth this and Trojan the half time ad brak comes in and the main story hasn't even kicked in yet, just some jokes and set ups for it.

Both these episodes, however, seem to be too rushed pacing-wise with respect to the earlier episodes. More seemed to happen in those eps too. This is my only real complaint though.

Yes. It's still tonally different to what's gone on before, but that's not a bad thing. While I didn't dislike the start, the audience reaction seemed over the top (mind you it usually does). But that video scene just before the break (which I'm now doing this in. I daren't do it while the show is on, I'm terrible at multitasking) was funny. Particularly the bit with the guitar.

And it's already been 15 minutes? Here's hoping the next half matches, if not betters the first.

I liked the computer scene, felt the joke was one punchline too long though. Broke the rule of three... Still, laughing a lot so thats good :-)

Our tastes about Dwarf are often at odds, but I agree with this. I didn't find it laugh out loud funny, but what a fun, compelling bit of television.

Great first half, the second was a bit... Guh.

The this time next week preview looks promising though ;-)

Better story, weaker humour in my opinion. Also a few notes/questions:

Why did Kryten start laughing when the N2O was released?

Mentioned this earlier, but was he wearing some weird type of shoe in an early scene?

Why did they not boot the new computer up earlier?
