I know I know I know.... the age of the actors has been mentioned to death. However, for right or for wrong I am watching BTE tonight. Given that there was what? 3 years between filming BTE and X, do you not think the actors look a LOT younger in BTE?? is that what happens in those 3 years of life, if so I dont want my forties to come any time soon!?! (sadly they are on their way!)

I think Chris looks younger in RDX than in BTE, frankly!

I remember after watching one of the series X episodes, I caught a bit of The Inquisitor on Dave. After getting used to how old Charles looks in X, he looked about 15 years old in series 5.

In 2008 I remember him looking hideously old on corrie, must have been that dark unspeakable period of his life. Lister thankfully looks far better in both bte and RDX than Craig looked then.

Craig is looking very trim these days, looking like he's lost a fair bit of weight.

I briefly mentioned this in another post. I don't think the issue is the age of the actors, but the incongruity between their behavior and their quite obvious increase in age (this is inevitable of course, no offence meant to them!!!). It just feels a bit artificial watching 50 year old men arguing about who gets more mail.

I think it would be quite interesting to see a more mature Rimmer/Lister dynamic that underpins RD although this could of course completely ruin the show and destroy what they have done so well for all these years.

What's particularly sad is that a brilliant scene which did play on the age of the actors was removed from 'Dear Dave'...apparently because Richard Naylor didn't think it was very good.

So that's this scene and the Only the Good ending we can blame Doug's meddling kids for!

    Well...some of them...well, one of them...maybe.

    ;-)

I, very occaisionally, wonder about the order in which the cast will die, and their eventual cause of death. My reasons are too awful to express, but my order is: Dan, Craig, Chris, Rob.

I've said it before, but "Your sperm go into a womb and can't remember what they came in for" would probably have been my favourite line of the entirety of X if it had stayed in.

It's certainly too good (the whole scene) to be on a deleted scenes DVD extra (though thankfully it does exist somewhere!)

Danny John Jules is immortal, Chris Barrie looks good and poor Craig Charles is turning into lister in real life. Love em all though.:P

it's odd, really, as CC looks pretty good on Coronation Street! (Yes, I'm 24 and I watch Coronation Street. I care not for judgement. IT'S AWESOME AND CRAP ALL AT ONCE, OKAY?!)
