I hope this doesn't count as spoilers. If so, just let me know. I'm still very new here.

But I wondered if people have a favourite gag from the tenth series? My own favourite moments would all be the more deep, high concept or character-building moments, but I have little favourite jokes too, most of them from the Cat.

So I vote for "...covered in money... while his finger-wetting machine was workin' overtime...!" which had me doing proper, honest-to-God guffaws.

    I know it's a love-hate scene, but I absolutely love Lister's father-son chat :-D

So do I, and from what I've seen, many others do. It was my standout moment from series X.

Is everyone agreed that this is an all-time great scene in Red Dwarf history?

I would have to see that bit from Fathers & Suns again - I do plan on watching it again soon, so I'm undecided at the moment.

My favourite joke... probably something from Trojan. I must admit that I did like the whole moose business.

I agree, this was a personal highlight and the part I remembered most from the recording. I also was a big fan of the extra scene at the end thats on the DVD's deleted scenes (No spoilers on this, Although I'm sure it was slightly more dramatic on the night, maybe that was just me  )

Although its not popular I was found the scene where Lister was on top of the Vending machine rather funny also.

I thought the father / son chat was wonderful. For some reason I also really enjoyed the way Pree says the phrase 'former crewman'. Her delivery realy cracked me up.

Lister's father-son chat is my favourite scene in ALL Red Dwarf history. There are loads of scenes I couldn't help but laugh at in X, including that vending machine one. Also the end of the moose gag, and the Hari Kari stabbing  come to mind.

I was very amused by "That's not killing, it's genocide. I think that's okay". But I think that's more for the balls of the satire than the humour itself!

    Lister's Father-Son talk
    Jesus... Yes

I'll just do one more: The detail of Rimmer's battle-strategy timetable, which was both very funny and incredibly touching, in that Doug remembered that piece of Rimmer's origin as well as we did.

    "Did it work?" / "No..."

and "He means charades, sir!" - though that doesn't even have an audience reaction in the ep

I think the moose joke is a good example of Doug taking an old joke and using it well. This joke was in Tim Vine's joke book of a couple of years ago and may well have been old then but it is used nicely in that ep.

Not a bad line, but I wonder why it received absolutely no reaction from the audience.

I wondered about that too. I laughed out loud at that, cheesy as it is.

I did wonder this too, espcially after I was in the audience, I'm sure I laughed at that bit...
