Okie dokie. Thanks
Ace Rimmer's most heroic moment.
Heading back to Loredo for a second lol
Isn't this the saloon they used (taken from Laredo website)? Hmm, you got me thinking now... :?
Stairs don't look right somehow, but it is very very similar, isn't it??
Thinking about it, though, would Laredo really have allowed all that damage during Rimmer's fight? Doesn't someone get thrown against the optics behind the bar... or is that Backwards?
I suspect they took that for inspiration for the studio rather than actually filming it there. It's similar, sure, but not quite the same. And good point concerning the damage, although they probably would have gotten around that on location with newly made props if they'd wanted to, but why bother when they have more control in the studio?
I was a bit bored so decided to add these:
Shepperton G stage where series IV-VIII were filmed.
Old House, Shepperton where scenes from Meltdown were filmed.
Shepperton K stage where RDX was filmed.
Pinewood TV Two where XI and XII were filmed.
Before to my trip to Pinewood I hadn't quite realised what unglamorous places studios are! My only prior experience was being in the audience for Fast Forward (sketch show for kids from the mid 80s, anyone remember it?) and that was at Television Centre, which definitely did have a air of glamour about it, being such a famous and iconic building. Think it's been turned into flats now, shame.
It's even got lots of Xs down the side to prove it. X marks the spot
They're so big I didn't notice them! Wonder what sets they were building outside, probably too early for RD - shame the picture wasn't taken a couple of months later.
