I was going to add this to the Sarnie thread. I have to ask if any one has noticed this phenomenon? I have frozen veg (shop bought) and home frozen veg in my freezer along with various meats and fish, I also have frozen roasties and chips along with a few frozen slices of bread (if I run out of fresh.) My quibble is the fact that it is all wrapped /bagged and boxed if need be. Why does everything in the freezer carry the smell of frozen chips?? I clean it out regularly and do not leave bags open or lids off!! :12:
Speaking of freezers, I got the first new fridge freezer I've had for a few years. The old one gave up the ghost This new one is nothing special, it's a 50/50 fridge on top, freezer below. The only problem is that I had forgotten how strong the magnets on the doors are, or the magnets have become stronger on newer machines as I sometimes feel I need a neigbour to come in and help open the bloody doors. It really is a two hand job! Though I suppose it just shows how good the door seals are.
Gotta say, the guys who installed ours did a lousy job as there are dents of various sizes here and there, mostly on the fridge and freezer doors. We hope to get them to replace this entirely rather than one door at a time.
Every timeI try to open the door with one hand, I pull the entire unit 6 inches away from the wall. It requires two hands to open the door, but usually you have one hand full of stuff you are planning to put inside the freezer.........frustrating! Themagnetic seal on the door is quite strong.
They were simpler times. When mocking a bunch of last of the summer wine old loving old people was the biggest of our worries.
RIP the entire cast of Last Of The Summer Wine and all their fans. Apart from Amos who is probably the only one still alive.
I'm a stupid man from east. Can anyone tell me, what is Last of The Summer Wine about? I assume, it's something like soap opera, but also a sitcom. And it has something to do with Harry. Am I right?
