I always make my points clearly. Less enlightened forum members do not see this. . .;-)

Yes he did. He was in the scene where Arthur gets in the queue. 'Leave this to me, I'm British. I know how to queue.'

I agree that his ability to act is not all that, I do think he would be the ideal candidate for the American cat.
If not him then jim Cary :-p

Too old to play a young cat not to play an aged cat, like Danny jj did in RDX

So a movie would not be set at the star of RD?
But somewhere further down the line?!?

I assumed it would open with a quick prelude for those who are not familiar using clips from our show and/or the awful American pilots and then jump to ... Well before RDX and bte came out I assumed it would be at the s8 cliff hanger but now I think a way to conclude the TV series through a movie, so after RDX. Who knows though, a movie acting as a reboot is interesting but any attempt to redo the first episode events has sucked (look at the 3 American pilot eps).

    It's CarRey, actually.

He's also around a year and a half younger than Danny J-J.

If they use clips from the tv show then it would not be appropriate to recast the leads. Any movie would have to look to a broader international (specifically) US market. How big an audience would there be to watch a movie that starts off by resolving a cliff-hanger from an episode first broadcast 14 years ago?!?

The US pilots all (or at least two of the 3, the third I've only seen clips of) used scenes from the UK version and you see the UK actors briefly :P

There are only two pilots - well, actually, one pilot and one "promo" - and I'm fairly certain that aside from the ship shots in the opening titles, there's no footage of the UK series in the "full" pilot?
