What is your favourite sitcom that went under the radar? What isn't known anywhere near as much as it should be, or doesn't getting the acclaim it deserves?
I think two point four children was pretty well known ant. Didn't like it myself, but it's not perhaps talked about so much now. I liked Colin's sandwich. It reminded me of a modern day Hancock. Never saw green wing. Keep em coming
well yes, it is largely forgotten about nowadays, but at the time it was very popular and well known, but yes, I get what you say
speaking of howard lewis in another thread, Chelmsford 123 is remembered by nobody, but was really good, as was who dares wins
Quintuplets an American sitcom from 2004 that I really enjoyed that no one else has heard of. Last time I wanted to watch it had to watch on youtube since it has no digital download that I could find or a DVD release.
It was a sitcom about some police officers who looked like they didnt know what they were doing, and it starred Robert Guilleme. It went for about 10 or so episodes, in 1991, one series only. I'd missed the first episode as I didn't know it was on, watched the next five or six episodes, and then... it stopped; I think I must've missed the remainder or they literally just cancelled the rest. Either that, or I'd watched the rest and didn't realise. Either way, I wound up thinking that maybe it was off for a week, like a break, then two weeks, three, a month went past. Then six months, a year... all the while, there's me thinking it was coming back on. Long story short, it's been 27 years since it's been on, I miss it, it was the best and the funniest thing I ever saw in my life (to me, I guess), and I wish someone would put it out on DVD before I go completely nuts.
Red Dwarf A british sci-fi sitcom about man who survives as the last living human on mining space ship with hologramic simulation of his crewmate, creature that evolved from his cat and senile computer. Later, an android joins the band and together they experience big adventures in deep space. It's show running from 1988 to 2017 on BBC and Dave. It is great show and it has lot of fans. You can even find some websites and forums on the internet about it.
Yeah, I suppose that fits it, Rory McGrath was pretty good in it though. Selwyn froggit with bill Maynard was good, plus the gaffer
