    Well heck aye Neil, but when it comes to soft boiled eggs and soldiers you need 3x eggs and 3x toast, but man ! you need toast with crusts coz the sharp pointy crusty one's are the ones the have to first burst the soft yolk. Come on Neil get a grip on the way soft boiled eggs and soldiers are done.

    I challenge your dippy toast orthodoxy and say it can be done. The yolk of an egg is not an unbreakable centre, and simply exerting more downward force should acquire the desired effect
