Mark Knopfler for the next Holly - Discuss!
I reckon stick to the original cast where possible otherwise you may risk loosing the magic
Mark Knopfler is magic.
To be honest I dont think any male replacement is needed, if Norman Lovett never takes part in Red Dwarf again then thay should just brink back Hattie Hayridge as the female Holly instead.....
No way would it be a wise move to change the main cast by bringing in someone new at this stage.....
Mark Knopfler, how random! :? Nah, I would like Norman back in an ideal world, that's not likely though is it. Mark Knopfler would be okay in Red Dwarf, but only if all he'd be doing is playing the guitar... otherwise, erm, no, thanks.
How about no Holly at all? I don't think Red Dwarf needs the character.
It's true isn't it? We didn't miss the character in Series 6.
Which is quite a shocking revelation for me... gosh.
Whatever cranks your shaft, but I can't see it.
Frankly, I'm baffled as to whay anyone would want Lovett back. He must be the most miserable non-entity that ever appeared on my TV, let alone Red Dwarf.
Hattie Hayridge on the other hand was immeasurably better in the role, she hasn't had a "comeback" yet, and floats my boat!
Yeah, I'm weird...
Where's the Hattie love?
I love Hattie, but prefer Norman.
I dont think there planning it, becuase there not likely to get a new cast member in and in BTE Holly is mentioned as Male, most likely a reference to Normans holly because in sereis 3/4/5 they say her, so no Holly at all I think, but they could bring Hattie back and ignore that line, but i'd love to have Hattie back! I mean, whats one more piece of continuity on that massive pile!
I think Holly should reboot when they wake him up and revert to his original youthful persona as played by the Inbetweener's James Buckly. Howbout it?
Aside from the fact Holly was never youthful? Or ages?
He's either got the face of his creator, or as he said the most prolific lover that ever lived.
i like holly and i prefer Norman to come back as him , if he didn't well a suppose Hattie is ok as to mark knopfler i think not but i could be convinced , maybe
I want my MTV....!
I'd like female Holly to make a comeback. Failing that, have 'em both, with a suitably glitchy effect when the face changes mid-sentence. It might cost too much to have two actors in a marginal role, but would certainly be fan-pleasing if they used the gimmick well.
Or, you know. Sting.
