It's early days, but Series XI seems to be somewhat well thought of. Of course Series XII is already finished which I expect we'll see broadcast in around a year's time. If it continues in the same vein through to the end of Series XII, I can't imagine Dave not wanting to commission another series or two. If the experiment of writing and filming two series back to back was a success, could they do the same again? If they do, we could see Series XIII start filming towards the end of 2017, with Series XIV starting at the beginning of 2018. They could then broadcast XIII at the end of 2018 and XIV at the end of 2019 -- maybe even for the cycle to start over again for XV and XVI! 2018 could well be an interesting year to have more Red Dwarf, what with it being its 30th anniversary. Very exciting. Of course, everything I've said above is easy enough to say. It's Doug that would have the difficult job.
