Bobby Llewellyn says on twitter that Dave posted the episdoe synopses by mistake!

'Just checked the Dave site and just heard they 'accidentally' posted a synopsis of the new episodes. Gone now. Oooops'

We are a privileged few who know about the Leviathan...

I thought those synopses appeared a bit too revealing.

    From the Dave site:

I thought the synopsis for episode 3 was a bit strange... "Knowing that they are going to die...."

Well now I am P*ssed off. I read them, thinking they wouldn't let us know stuff we're not meant to, and it wasn't that much, when they just flamingo'd up!

Oh well, no use crying over spilt Cesiumfrancolithicmyxialobidiumrixydixydoxidrexidroxhide, we forgive and we forget :-D

Yeah, I must admit I did think there was a bit too much info revealed there. Still, spoilers don't bother me that much. But how the heck do you post up a synopsis by mistake??

I dunno I kinda like the idea of them getting ahold of thier own script, queing a series of muppet movie/spaceballs like 4th wall breaking.
I can even see Lister grabbing a pen and making changes

    *lister scribbles in script*

*Rimmer randomly gets hit in the face with a flan*

Lister - 'V-A-N, I wrote VAN not flan'

Note how Robert said "accidentally" in his post. This could all be deliberate. Whip up a bit of fervour, and make people realise they should be checking the Dave site immediately if they want to keep up with things!

Lets face it ...Dave is really UKGold2 I wouldn't have thought there would really be much budget or time for thier website. The people working on them will be working on most if not all of the UKTV channel websites. Simple mistake to make but I bet they still got a ********* for it

Highlight the below for what the story sounds a bit like to me, might be a spoiler.

sounds a lot like 'the league of gentlemen' film, where the characters burst out of their town royston vasey cause its falling apart, to find the creators of the show to save it.

i can see it actually being a fake synopsis though, cause it would be hard to 'accidentally' post it when everything's supposed to be kept so secret.

Also, The League's film is derivative of much older stories - they didn't invent that idea. Last Action Hero in the 90s was itself a riff on Woody Allen's far superior Purple Rose of Cairo. And in literature there's examples aplenty, a relatively recent one being Umney's Last Case by Stephen King.

I mean, I know people tend to remember the latest thing, but really - LoG's Apocalypse was a pretty average example of that kind of story. (Not that I'm saying this relates to RD:BTE, mind you!)

King did it in (highlight to read)[ The Dark Tower books ]too. I wasn't over keen on some aspects of it but it did turn out to be interesting and thought provoking and still 'in universe'. Sort of.

Is Unmney's Last Case in his new short story collection?
