Exactly the same as me. Entangled, The Beginning and Trojan were right up there with the best RD. I hope series XI (if it happens) will carry on like those.

I recently re-watched the whole series X and Back To Earth too~! I love them all... well, except for Lemons. Sorry, it still is a stinker to me. Instead of Dvds, as one last stab at physical media, I'd love a Starbug shaped Flash Drive with all the seasons on it- probably, a silly idea, maybe not even possible. *shrug* Well, hurry up seris XI!!!:-D

The more that I watch series X the more its becoming one of my favorite series. Watched it about 3 times now and its now in my top 4 favorite series.

For me it's still somewhat middling on one side of the fence you have some really winners like Entangled and The Beginning (both of which I think rank up pretty high), however you have Trojan which is the very definition of mediocre or Dear Dave which is flat out bad. Series X was a big step on the right direction but series XI needs more spit and polish

I still haven't got round to watching my series X DVD yet, but I'm determined to do so very soon, maybe starting tonight. At least this long gap means I'll hopefully have forgotten much of what happens. It's going to be very interesting to see how my opinions of the series hold up. I'll probably post about them in this thread.

I just couldn't work out why you need to a) tell me that fact, and b) accompany it with a completely irrelevant (or am I missing something?) rolling eyes smilie.

Likewise I couldn't work out why you needed to tell us that you will "probably post" your opinions about another viewing of RD X. . .

I like Series X a lot. Yes, there's room for improvement, but "Trojan" and "The Beginning" have become two of my favourite episodes. :-)

I really like The Beginning too. There was some stuff at the start I wasn't sure of (particularly a gag involving Kryten) but the Rimmer character stuff and the rest was great. Rimmer's response to the simulant leader's statement "That's life. You like live, then you die" gives me goosebumps! So cinematic, and and I love that it has another meaning beyond the obviou. (At least to me. Whether that was intentional is another thing, but I think it was.)

i think doug is trying real hard to make the fans forget series 8

it makes sense when you look at the amount of times in series X where Rimmer talks about the events that killed the crew in series 1, its like dougs saying this is the original Rimmer and we gone back to the original idea... whats to complain or wonder about? just go with it

    im cool with that
