Apparently it's not Christian Enough
....We're doomed to failure now the Church isn't behind it.
Um, isn't it funny as Red Dwarf combined the fact that Dave lister is actually the God of the felix-sapiens, even though they use darwin's theory of evolution, so technically lister is god.
Dougal, what 'av you been up ta?!!
They did evolve because of him, but nobody say's he is actual god, he newer even saw them
Geez its just a show. I mean what do people want them to act like, a lemonade sales men? He is just a character, a non arrogant character unlike the Rimmer character around woman. I would understand if some one was real and actually said they were God when they really weren't then I just roll my eyes and walk away.
Oh well can't expect every one to like a plate of brownies.
"Down with this sort of thing!"
The title of this thread is a bit misleading. Not once does the bishop mention Red Dwarf or any individual programme for that matter. All he’s saying is it would be nice to have some religious programmes on during a time traditional seen as having religious significance. He’s got a point.
Maybe if morons like him didn't tell us how we are all sinners and bored us with the same story every-single-year more people might turn off the telly.
I for one... WON'T!!!
Even JESUS will be watching it for gods sake!
BBC has two terrestrial channels and two further freeview channels, so if they really want to put on something religious they have plenty of space to do so. Yet it is a bit harsh to be condemning us for wanting to watch some good non-religious shows over Easter, after all we aren't all religiously-inclined.
The same point goes for Palm Sunday. As a big F1 fan I am deeply insulted. So what if the services weren't on BBC1 for Palm Sunday, as previously stated there are other channels!
Of course it's misleading. It was a joke.
But he did tell everyone to boycott TV on good friday which would include Red Dwarf
At least the BBC are using Howard Goodall as part of their defence!
