It's official, The boys from the Dwarf are bigger than Jesus!

Considering this post is from DAVE themselves, it's already clear they are amazed at the success, so now, surely, they will be behind Series X?

The irony behind that is amazing. Bigger than Jesus on Easter Weekend... love it.

Haha, I didn't realise that, but now you mention it, that really is amazingly ironic!

And rubbish. Can't it just be a success?

Sorry that sort of comparison makes me uncomfortable.

    To quote a classic Simpsons:

Bart : "Did you make the same mistake as the Beatles and say you were bigger than Jesus?!"
Homer: "Sure! That was the name of our second album!" (cut to album cover of homers group walking barefoot over water)

It wasn't barefoot over water, it was the B Sharps crossing the zebra closing like the Beatles.

The B Sharps were doing it like the Beatles on a zebra crossing BUT barefoot on water

It is an unfair comparison. After all, Jesus hasn't done much for two millenia, and for Red Dwarf it had only been ten years. I'm sure Jesus's new specials will draw a much bigger audience.

By the way, this post is beneath me! I am actually very respectful of the beliefs of others normally.

I wouldn't mind examining Jesus' Nielsons, I just didn't realize he was on the air last weekend. What are we talking about, exactly? A show called Jesus?

Even if we assume that the internet is real life (which is not true, but is so deeply ingrained in the nerd mind that it's useless to try to dispute it), where do we get if we analyze this too closely? One thing that leaps to mind is that Happy Easter was also bigger than Jesus (no wonder he lost, he was running on a split ticket). Hannah Montana was also bigger, which really takes the lustre away from Red Dwarf's achievement. (Way to go, Ace.)

Leave Tex alone. He speaks a lot of sense sometimes. Especially when he's insulting you.

You don't even know him. Fancy that, the resident nosy Parker (aka Mrs Mangel) not knowing the internal affairs of the forum!!!
