Camera lens showing in Legion.
Full mic in Inquisitor when Rimmer is bowing. Ironically, you only notice it because they move it.
Yellow boom mic dropping down at the end of Duct Soup.
You're definitely not imagining it!
Suspicious movement in the cell in Rimmerworld:
I'll have to look back at that one
In Kryten, we see a blue microphone when Rimmer is learning Esperanto:
In Red Dwarf, every instance of spoken Esperanto - even the lady who's supposed to be teaching it in Kryten - is so horrendous that it's barely recognizable or understandable as actual Esperanto!
Couple of my favourite sources for production mistakes when researching the podcast were-
http://havetstorm.tripod.com/index-1.html and http://www.moviemistakes.com/tv3069/pictures?viewall=yes
The second has become more and more clogged up of late with advertisements though!
The shows literally riddled with them everywhere! I can never unsee Lister mouthing along to Confidence when he says "...is it someplace near Uruguay?"
Surely this is a brightly-lit asteroid - or piece of metallic space debris - coming briefly into view?
In a ship made entirely of light, I think some oddities of chiaroscuro are to be expected. Perhaps that's the holographic equivalent of a jpeg artefact?
Presumably a picky officer made Lister deflate and stow it sometime between Stasis Leak and The End? Then - between Me² and Kryten - he remembered he had it, and realised there was nothing stopping it being back on display.
We know he has fever dreams during his illness - some of them fantastical - and can suppose he's smiling at one of them.
Maybe such "glitches" are a feature of teleportation? That could be a brief fading glimpse of Sim Crawford, arriving at the other end and walking off.
As for all the boom mics, etc. - I presume these are discreetly servile "hover-bots", who mostly avoid people's eye-lines. The Dwarfers don't comment on them, any more than you or I would comment on the plug sockets in a room.
Lister also mouths along to Cat's 'gajimbas' line in Backwards.
When Cat drops Lister's brain cassette in his cup of tea in Bodyswap, you can see Lister start to laugh when the audience do.
Movie Mistakes has some awesome lists on there. Usually the first place I go after watching something that aired long ago that I am watching for the first time.
Dear @jmc2000, if that is your real name, please note this isn't the 'Explain That' thread, kind regards, Ant Pembers.
The JMC's cutbacks are visible in Back in the Red Part I. Starbug is made of wood.
