Red Dwarf is nominated in category Best Returning Comedy. Let's repeat last year's win!
Red Dwarf XII is in final, which is spuer, but we wanna win, so vote again!
I would Vote but i wasn't impressed enough with Series XII to feel it deserves to win.
And this is from someone who voted for Series 8 back in 1999/2000 when it was part of the Vote in Best sitcom at the comedy awards thing where you had to call in to vote for a selected sitcom to win (it didn't)... but that was more out of principle for me.
But hey if its gonna win it won't matter if i vote or not.
Once you're fan, so you always have to vote.
Should the title now be slightly altered - so people who voted in round one know they have to do it again?
Done, thanks for remind.
Voted for in both returning comedy and best comedy of year.
I did not vote for it in comedy of the year, believe it or not, as I simply think some shows had better years than RD, but I did vote for it in best returning sitcom.
As @Asclepius so eloquently said :
Which ones? Besides Dwarf there wasn't anything that stood out for me. There are shows I sort of enjoy, but nothing great. But then again I'm not really into most new shows anyway.
- And Red Dwarf has it's anniversary this year too!!
RED DWARF MUST WIN!
I finally got up to watching Taskmaster and Goodish on UKTV Play, and I think they both had really good series this year that were consistently strong, whereas I really thought RDXII was good but had a number of moments (and an entire episode) where it sorta dragged. The survey deserves an honest opinion, not an automatic fan vote. That said, there's nothing wrong in voting for RD, obviously. In fact, all the more power to you. Vote for what you believe deserves to win.
It's not the only one. Also, I'm aware that this is just an online poll, so forgive my slightly heavy analogy. Would you change your vote for someone running for office just because one of the candidates was celebrating their 40th birthday? Much as I love Red Dwarf, "Comedy of the Year" is such a broad term that I don't think it deserves it every time. I did put it in for Comedy of the Year last year, however.
Its red dwarf so by principle it should win.
Does the Material deserve to win? thats debatable
