I watched a few episodes of old red dwarf today. It's funny, it felt really different. Because I hadn't watched them for years, it kinda felt like a show I hadn't seen before. I don't mean they seemed dated,or that I couldn't remember them, they just felt different in a way I can't explain. It's odd how the same tv show can be so affected by the environment you see it in, and the passing of time, very strange

What do you mean by 'old Red Dwarf', Neil? Are you talking about the first couple of seasons?

I find myself watching older Dwarf more anyway. Not sure if I "see" them any different, but do notice smaller details all the time. When XI arrived in my mailbox I watched it through maybe 5 or 6 times before I watched any other series. Even now I still watch it marginally more than others, but the "newness" IS starting to fade. So it will be going into the regular rotation pretty soon. Guess I watch series 2 and 3 the most even now. Nothing I said is any kind of "dig" either, even bad Red Dwarf is better than NO Red Dwarf. If there even IS "bad" R.D.

Yes I mean older series', it felt weird, not nostalgic, not dated, not unfunny or not cheap looking, can't explain it. It's happened a few times, i've seen an old episode of something and it's felt completely differrent than previously, I wish I could explain it better
