Don't know if everyone has seen this, but Robert Llewelyn has just tweeted this. Series 10 of Red Dwarf announcement just been made at DJ 09. To clarify the scripts have been commissioned, wont be filming til 2010 YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm soo frickin excited but Doug, please please please, no two or three parters. RD has always been at its best in 30 min episodes.
First off: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Exciting times! I am still a little confused by the whole Series X business though. Series IX is definitely a no go area after we've been told so much about it from BTE, but they did say BTE was set after IX AND X. So will this series be set before BTE? Or do we assume that since none of the info given in BTE was real anyway, it won't matter where this new series is set? *thinks on it a bit*
I can't believe it, I logged on twitter and had a heart attack lol, wonder if there will a live audience?
That's a good question... Guess that goes in the good question archive for now. I don't think we will hear a lot more until 2010 when they start filming
It won't be set before 'Back to Earth'. The Red Dwarf IX & X mentioned in those were fictional in a fictional reality.
If it's on Bobby Llew's Twitter which I've been following for ages then it must be true... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Yes it is true it was announced at Dimension Jump today, all that has been said so far is that the scripts have been commissioned but no other details have been confirmed. It was via an email message from Doug Naylor which was read out today as an exclusive bit of news for all those attending this years Dimension Jump in Brum. It is only the scripts at the moment no other details have been confirmed and if it goes ahead it should be screened around the end of next year.
Yeeeeeeees! *hands out a thousand party poppers* You know, two or three years ago I never thought we'd see another episode of Red Dwarf, but here we are with the Back to Earth trilogy and the announcement of a series 10. Good old Dave.
Fantastic! Jumps around doing a mad dance then falls over giggling untill the men with the white coats turn up (again!!)
