That is not 12 days.
Abes Clam germs are spreading.
No, but that is the supposed Christmas period, cos it goes from Christmas Eve (24th) to Epiphany (6th January). The thing about decorations being up is meant to be 12 days before (which is traditionally the 12th I believe? Maybe to avoid the number 13) and 12 days after, but the 6th is meant to be the last day you can do it, before having to leave them up all year, if you're supersticious, but only in certain countries. France for example have theirs up for longer. But wtfever tbh, my decorations go up in November and come down early January.
Our decorations will be going up this week and typically come down in early January... alright, maybe late January... okay, perhaps we'll find the time in February... alright, March.
So you're saying you agree with Neil Old?
Some gang member you are.
Wait...is that what Neil Old said???
Shutup Neil Old, Pembers is right
EXACTLY! Its my favorite holiday besides Halloween! I'm afraid its slowly going to the wayside though. We only have three seasons anymore Spring, Summer and Xmas. I'm not a total whiner about the holidays, hell I even celebrate the 21st of December!, but the way its being shoved down our throats and for ever longer periods of time too ....well, just seems to me to be losing perspective of why we have holidays like Thanksgiving and the holidays around late December/mid January in the first place.
I put them up in December and take them down in January...
...provided I can avoid playing with the tinsel and baubles long enough... ooo look! Shiny things!
Just found out that Coca-Cola truck WILL BE in my country too!!! Life is super!
BAH HUMBUG, Noo Christmas decorations for me, but that's more probs coz I will be away for Christmas with family anyway.
