Agreed .......................................... except for "Its a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Story". (If you haven't read the short story collection by Jean Shepherd "A Christmas Story" is based on you are really missing out! ;-))

Its about as sappy, syrupy and cliche' ridden as you couldn't possibly believe without seeing it, but man....... its a really good movie. You'd have to have a heart of complete depleted uranium to not get misty eyed when George gets home at the end or a smile when the bell tinkles. James Stewart is an outstanding actor and Capra could jerk tears from the Sphinx as a director. It is worth watching at least once, sappy as it is.

    American Dad

I watched an episode of this after promising I'd do so in this thread. I know that one of the Freeview channels plays American Dad and Family Guy (which I hate by the way) almost on a daily basis and found that they were playing two episodes last night, so I watched the first one. I don't know the name of the episode (or even if the individual episodes actually have names), but it was the one where the son of the main character goes on a hunting trip and ends up accidentally shooting some animals.

    A few points:
    • The episode gave me three tiny laughs (and they really were tiny).
    • I had no idea that Patrick Stewart was in this show.
    • It's not as irritating as Family Guy.
    • The highlight of the episode was hearing Da Da Da by Trio. And if the highlight of the episode for me is a half-forgotten song from the 80s, that should give you a clue as to how much I liked the show overall.

It IS a wonderful movie ;-). Been re-watching Futurama season 4 lately, it's one of my favorites. Can never get enough of Bender saying "I used to be God , you know".

I love futurama, I can also do an extremely accurate impression of the professor's voice. Have you seen the film 'the car'? It's a good movie, and it's the design benders werewolf look is based on

Finished Season 2 of the Good Place so now going to cancel my netflix subscription since there is nothing else I want to watch on there at the moment. Still watching Doctor Who episodes and finished The Web Planet. Disappointed there was no giant spiders. It was all giant ants and bees.

Never seen that. Going back through season 1 of Batman at the moment. The one with Adam West.

I liked the original batman. I liked how they always had a card on top of the machine they were using, telling you what it was.

I like the Killers, but I was completely useless at naming their singles in the final round.
