    Hey guys and gals.

Don't know if you have seen this, but the BBC have made an April Fool's Day video relating to Red Dwarf:

    Enjoy!

I don't get their wording under the video though...

"A new series on Mars and will make a long awaited return to television screens for a two part special of a well known television series."

I think they missed somehting out there.... and it's not a two part... it's three!

Hmmm, the wording has changed since I last looked this morning. It DID say something about Red Dwarf returning. I'm guessing it was a mistake, and they changed it quickly to hide their April Fool's tracks. Hence the odd sentence structure.

The description has update again. Now, it makes sense:

"A spoof trailer filmed on 'Mars' will mark a long awaited return of a well known television series."

That's great! I hope all these trailers end up on the upcoming DVD.

And here's a clickable hyperlink that doesn't lead back to this thread.

Awesome! I was told there was going to be a second after midday, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

The first piece in particular was particularly well done. Don`t think Danny really nails the Cat character here but he hasn`t done that for many a long year. Thankfully the other characters are all far more important.

Heh. I thought he did ok. Assuming this is set in the present day, he should really be wearing a space suit though. Possibly a smart flashy number with cuff-links. (Not the one he wore in Kryten though. That was nice, but it was so... yesterday. ;-) )

I thought he was rather like the Cat of series 7 and 8.

.....I just thought he was like the cat, I'm not sure what everyone means.

He looks older and sounds older but the Cat is the Cat. The "Hey Monkies!" line is very Series I-III anyway.

We made reference to the character, not the voice.

No need for the blown gasket. Yes, Cat is important to the show and I have watched every ep thanks. No need to be patronizing.

But of course the other 3 characters are more important. Cat hasn`t had a single really big storyline in 52 episodes which tells you something (even Waiting for God was more about Lister). It seems like the new shows will focus on Lister and Rimmer as well.

Strange that its on the BBC website when they turned the show down.

I heard that a cat episode was supposed to be made in series 7 but they went for the blue episode instead????? not sure if my info is correct or even where I heard it from. Think it was meant to show the war between the 2 cat factions????

There was an episode planned called Identity Within which came from the idea that the cat had to have sex or he'd die. Personally, I'd prefer that to the Kryten episode "Beyond A joke"
