If anyone wants to know what Doug says, just PM me.
Just watched the documentary was great, it was worth the price just to find out what happend after sereis 8 n the clifhanger least we all know. maybe ill put it in series 11.
I have a question for those who have seen the documentary:
Was there a mention of no money being put into the music budget?
I don't think there was any mention about the budget for the music.
It was great to find out Ace rescued them though.
or indeed any mention of the music...which I found a bit of a shame given Howard Goodall's wonderful work.
It certainly suprised me that the music didn't get a mention, especially because that it had been overlooked in the budget. I think a mention would have been appropriate even just as a nod to Howard Goodall getting the job done under those circumstances.
I just decided to watch the Docu again while i'm working at home and a thought occured. At a few points during the documentary there are some sections with comments from the studio audience entering and leaving the studios. I'm just wondering if anyone here recognises themselves and which forum members they are :?:
This is ridiculous. I'd love to see this doc, have done for a while, but I'm currently travelling in Australia, so can't be buying DVD's.
I'd be happy to pay a couple of quid for it on it's own, but I literally can'tfind it anywhere online, legal, illegal, youtube, you name it! :/
It's not that ridiculous, surely? How many other times have DVD extras been made available separately to buy? The whole point is that they're DVD extras: material that's designed to get to you buy the DVD. There's no obligation to make them available in another form.
I mean, I can get why it might be a good idea to offer that stuff, but the fact that it isn't - when it's not exactly a common thing - is hardly "ridiculous"!
Hmm, I'll consider it. It's just that I'm travelling, don't want to be taking on any unnecessary baggage. Quite surprised it can't even be found on iTunes or Amazon to be honest.
Will check out JB Hi-Fi tomorrow and see if they have it, and the price.
Fair enough, I apologise if my frustration led me to hyperbole
I bought all the previous DVDs when I was living in the UK, so I guess I wasn't really aware that the extra stuff wasn't made available online.
Plus, extra stuff from the older DVDs does appear to be on youtube etc.
I think that when that sort of thing appears on YouTube it is put there by fans so is technically illegal. In some cases the companies might turn a blind eye (if they're aware, obviously,) but that may explain why it isn't there for long.
I look forward to the docs most of all when the DVDs come out!!!
Sebastian, can you kindly persuade Doug to do a commentary this year!
Yeah, but only due to people illegally sticking it there
