I need to go make dinner. Was going to do that before I got distracted by the pretty new forums. I am undecided if I will make potato bake, pasta bake or chicken and vege covered in white sauce.

I am also going to make bread so I can have toast tomorrow morning for breakfast. Have a new toaster since the old one died and wouldn't take thick slices.

With a bread maker. Sort of cheating. I have made it by had before but always ends up to heavy when I make it by hand. Tastes good with soup my handmade bread.

I have never made bread. Is there much improvement over just buying a loaf from the shop?

I will be having a ham & cheese baguette from Greggs in Westfield Stratford before the London Lions Basketball game tonight...which for some stupid reason falls on the same evening West Ham are playing Tottenham next door at the Olympic stadium. Trains and area are gonna be busy as hell :sulk:

I like having fresh bread and can't always get to the shops to buy some.

I am having wedges for dinner, have them in the oven now.

I like those chicken subs. Trouble is, as with their burgers, the bread tends to go really hard and crumbly if you even only slightly overdo it. Resulting in either a hot filling with burnt bread or soft bread with an undercooked filling
