Yup, that's Kenny in probably my favourite sketch ever :-D

I just recently re-watched every episode of RD for the first time in ages in about 3 weeks, and that encouraged me to come to this site to see other views on the show. I have to say series 8 is my least fave by quite a distance, sorry!

    Oooh... tough decision...

Love them all for different reasons, but if I was forced to decide... probably (from most loved to least loved:-(

    1, 2, 5, 3, 6, 4, 8, 7, 9

Each series has at least one standout 'incredible' episode though, so couldn't do without any of them!

I only saw one episode of 10 being recorded, so I wouldn't like to give it a position based just on that at the moment... But things are looking good for it when it comes to the revised order ;-)

I hope nobody reads too much into the fact that I've placed series 9 last. I didn't hate it, but it's essentially a single episode, and it's difficult to rate one episode higher than a full series.

How do you go about comparing with it with other series anyway? It's like trying to compare Backwards with series 6.

It's not quite the same. Each of the three episodes of Back To Earth is quite different despite being part of a longer story, and even if you take it as one story (and Director's Cut version is better than the original broadcast version, in my opinion) you've got a lot more material to compare than the broadcast version.

That being said, your point stands. 3 20 minute episodes can't really compare fairly with a 6-8 30 minute episode series.

I think I prefer the gif you are using :-) Great scene from a great episode

Isn't it odd how we all love the same show but rank them so differently? and how people argue about the love/hate of certain series, and even who there fav character is. I for one loved the early shows with no Kryten, others like him the best. If people can have such differing opinions about something we all love, what chance does the world have with different political opinions? To deep....Series 2 is the best!!!

Hard question, and I'm sure this changes on a pretty regular basis. From best to worst:

    5, 7, 2, 3, 4, 1, BTE, 6, 8

Back to Earth is a little too new for me to rate it in the grand scheme of things very accurately. I've only watched it 2 or 3 times. Right now, that's where it sits. One thing that I've noticed about BTE is that I really don't like the music. It's not Red Dwarf, and it hurts the episode(s) overall.

Series 2 and 3 could easily flip flop. Series 5 and 7 are solid in their positions as my two favorites.

Oops, I lost track of this thread, hence my late reply.

There are various free downloadable softwares and sites where you can create your own smilies, but for the most part I haven't found much need to do that as there are so many great free ones readibly available. Freesmilies.org is one of various places i found some of those i've used recently. They have a large variety of smilies and amoticons on that site.

    Anyway, one day when i was feeling a bit...blaugh, and so instead of my usual activities i found myself spending a while putting all my favouites into one easily accessable place so i didn't have to go searching for them later...addmittedly not the most productive way to spend half an hour or so, but what the smeg, i like them anyway. Some of them seem readily taylormade...for example, here's one just for you, Bluey;

*offers Bluey a big glass of cyber Pepsi*

I wasn't aware that Paul was into creating smilies.

That's great, Vamp. I'll have to use that one next time I mention I'm drinking Pepsi in Currently.

I've done a couple of test lemur head ones actually, but haven't done anything with them because I thought it would be a bit much to have my own custom lemur smilies. Now it suddenly seems all the rage to have our own smilies, perhaps when I get some spare time in a couple of weeks I'll do something with them.
