Is it going, is it filming soon, will Craig charles have a nude scene? what do we know?
The plans as far as I've heard are filming Nov and Dec 2011 and finishing off Jan 2012 with a proposed broadcast sometime in the Autumn of 2012. 6x 30 minute episodes (to fill an air time slot of 40 minutes with adverts)
The wish to film before a live audience has been expressed but is still not a definite.
I'm sure there's more, but I forget....
.....all of this is subject to change also. Probably last minute as usual
We have a website for this.
I knows! I read the updates every Friday, Just last I heard anything was months ago. then I was browsing wikipedia (I know I should take everything on there with a grain of salt) and it sort of made it seem like nothing was confirmed and just a load of maybes. I thought maybe the DJ announcement might have been a bit of premature excitement. I dunno. I guess I just wanted to make sure everything was still going according to plan before I begin to get excited.
Aaah Wikipedia. The fountain of editable knowledge.
Chris Barry did use the sentence "Red Dwarf X is now certain" on Wave 105 recently. Or so I read at http://www.ganymede.tv/forum/2011/07/red-dwarf-x-is-now-certain (Explicit language is used further down in the comments....just to put you in the picture if you like to avoid such things)
He did indeed. I should know, I was the one who posted that topic
It just confirmed what we already knew is still on track.
We stand in an awkward, slightly drunk balance on it, trying not to fall off and hurt ourselves.
There's not going to be much to release at this point. It was happening when Doug announced at DJ, it's still happening...but until the show begging crewing up what is there to say? A show that shoots in November will inevitably be quiet in July.
'Good news everybody'
If you click the link and press play on the Chris Barrie interview, Chris says at 3.26 that the contracts have been signed... in saying this he seems to suggest that its the cast contracts as he then jumps immediately to saying Craig has be carefully negotiated out of Corrie to work on it... buts that could just be my take on it.. have a listen see what you's think
The rest of the interview isn't amazing
As for the "Dave That Killjoy" comments. It is always best to remain cautious. You never know when a seemingly certain project will go tits up. We only have to look at Red Dwarf The Movie to see how it can go wrong
Hey guys thanks for sharing valuable links and views.
WE WANT NEWS!!!
I think that Harry should have a guest part. It would make it the best series ever.
Yeah. You, Harry and Spaceman. The three Spaceketeers. Or something.
Probably been said a million times but thought I'd add some fuel to the fire. Love red dwarf and would love to see it continue for ever!
Things I didnt like about the last one included cgi skutters, no studio audience (even laughter played over would have been good enough). CGI is good but over use and you loose the feel of whats best about RD.
Hopefully the next ones really bring back the good old days humour with a modern edge.....
I'm excited it's coming back. Made my day I love RD.
