Apart from quality..will there be any difference in the contets of the blu-ray and the DVD?
I have a Blu-ray player, but only a dvd player on the computer.
Then again ..will be looking to upgrade to a projector for the living room so I suppose the quality difference will show there more than on the 32" TV

Content will almost certainly be the same. It is the same on the BTE DVD/BR.

I'm going to wait and see a bit of the series before ordering. I'm pretty sure I'll love it...but just in case, I'll wait. I'll probably order from Amazon as I always used them when I was in Italy and I wouldn't know who else is as reliable.

Even though I have been a huge fan since the first run of series 2 and bought all other DVDs on day of release with the exception of back to earth, I will not be pre ordering until I have seen it. Yes I am a fan but certainly won't be ordering now. After being let down by the later series, I can no onger put my trust in the show. If it returns to its former glory of 1-5, I will definitely be pre ordering. Let's wait and see first.

Well as I said in an earlier post I pre-ordered the Bluray, and today I pre-ordered the normal DVD for my nephews who also love The Dwarf. (I can't have them missing out.:-(D

You are a total, total... a word has yet to be invented to describe how totally whatever-it-is you are, but you are one. And a total, total one at that.

I've pre-ordered mine through Amazon. I thought, since 19th November is a Monday, there is a small risk that I won't get to the shops until the weekend, and I needed to at least know it's on it's way to my collection. If I get an opportunity to buy it, before the post arrives, I certainly will. I'm happy to have a spare (as I have for Series 1-8 ) or it could also be someone's Xmas present.

Edit:to remove 8) where I should have typed 8 ) I love that smiley faces are the default option 8)

Would downloads be the digital equivalent of paperback? (I'm not accusing you of illegal downloading incidentally as legal downloads are available. Although whether or not they'll be available for Series X, I don't know. Eventually, probably.)

No love for the U.S.... despite simultaneous worldwide release, Amazon.com still doesn't have it available for pre-order. :-(
