Medical Madness

A quick date for your diaries. On Thursday, October 2nd you'll be able to see Norman Lovett playing William Farr in Seven Wonders of the Industrial World. Going out on BBC2 at 9pm, the episode 'The Sewer King', Norman portrays the man who discovered the cause of cholera, no less. (Not to kill the tension, but the cause was polluted water, fact fans.) In future episodes, watch out for Robert Llewellyn as Wilfred Shakespeare and Chris Barrie as Colombo - the man in the dirty mac who discovered America. Or perhaps not.

Meanwhile, news has reached reddwarf.co.uk that both Craig Charles and Danny John-Jules will be checking into the UK's most famous hospital. Danny has taken a one-off part in Casualty, and Craig has done the same for sister show Holby City. No details on characters or storylines as yet, but the episodes won't go out for several months. Despite both series being set in the same hospital, they are filmed miles apart - Casualty's Accident and Emergency department is in Bristol, with Holby City's wards located in Elstree.
