Fans in Australia will already be aware of satellite station UKTV, whose dedication to showing Red Dwarf seems to be unquenchable. Regular episode screenings, plus the occasional all-series marathon, have made the channel not only a champion for Dwarfness, but also a firm ratings winner.

Well, now the channel has a sister station in New Zealand. Carried on Sky Digital and launching on November 1st, New Zealanders will now have access to a huge variety of British shows. Tony Iffland, UKTV Chief Executive says, "UKTV has a well established programming format in Australia, with proven appeal that delivers high quality British drama and comedy entertainment to our viewers... We are delighted to launch UKTV in New Zealand."

Sky Television's Director of Entertainment, Travis Dunbar said, "In recent times, UK drama and comedy has been somewhat marginalised on the networks, so it's timely for Sky to offer a quality channel like UKTV to its subscribers while helping to fill the void for the wider audience."

Starting at the beginning, the first month on UKTV New Zealand sees Red Dwarf on every weekday, kicking of with Series I and arriving at Camille, Series IV, by the end of the month.

Just to bring you up to date, weekly screenings on UKTV Australia are currently approaching the end of Series V/start of VI; and BBC Kids in Canada are concluding Series VIII(and starting again with Series I) during the week, and are about to hit IV on the weekends.

And over here in little old Blighty, BBC2 have positioned the show on Sunday night - the 26th of October, 11pm - as Series III recommences with Polymorph. UK Gold, meanwhile, are currently in the midst of Series III (Fridays) and Series VI(Saturdays).

Confused? You don't need to be. You can get New Zealand's Red Dwarf UKTV listings - as well as those for the USA, UK, Canada and Australia - from our Dwarf Tracker!
