Red Dwarf charts in Empire's Greatest TV Ever chart.

Red Dwarf placed a very respectable 26th in the recent poll to judge Empire's 50 Greatest TV Shows Of All Time.

Of everything on the list, Dwarf's closest comedy-SF relative is probably Futurama - so it's interesting to see us right next to them at 25. You can read the entire rundown here.

Among the other comedies on the list were number one show The Simpsons, Friends, Spaced, Seinfeld, Family Guy, South Park, Blackadder and The Office (UK version). In the SF/fantasy area we get Buffy the Vampire Slayer at number two, Lost, The X-Files, Battlestar Gallactica, Firefly (arguably another Red Dwarf relative) and Doctor Who.

With huge thanks to all of you who voted - and a horrid fart noise to those who couldn't be bothered. (We were only two places behind beating The Office, people!)
