Behind The Scenes Gallery

A nifty new addition to our photo collection.

Despite rarely being mentioned in our weekly news updates, the Gallery section of reddwarf.co.uk is one of the most heavily visited parts of the site - and it's not limited to that picture of Chris Barrie with his shirt off being oiled. Well, now you'll have another reason to drop in.

Along with the promotional stills and artwork, we're now including the Series I Rehearsal Images, a collection of candid snapshots that were unearthed as part of the Bodysnatcher Collection production and included on that DVD.

Taken by Series III photographer Paul Grant, there are some gorgeous shots here that really capture the atmosphere of the Acton rehearsal rooms as the cast and crew prepare to shoot the first series of Red Dwarf in 1987. See Craig Charles messing about with a guitar, Rob Grant crashed out on a mattress, Norman Lovett poring over a set design model and Doug Naylor quite genuinely looking through The Junior Encyclopaedia of the Universe!
