Trailer for The Tree

Judy Pascoe's novel comes to the big screen.

28 May, 2010

Ah, Camille. Red Dwarf's most famous pleasure GELF. A life-form who won Kryten's heart despite being, basically, a big green blob. And a robot. And a hologram. And a Scouser.

Of course you'll remember that Camille's droid form was played by Robert Llewellyn's wife, Judy Pascoe (who also gave voice to the blob' incarnation). And like her robotic partner, Judy is also an accomplished novelist.

Now Judy's first book, Our Father Who Art In The Tree, has been adapted for the big screen by screenwriter/director Julie Bertuccelli. Retitled to the more poster-friendly The Tree, the story tells of... y'know what, why don't you just watch the trailer?

The film, which has just been show at Cannes, features the ridiculously impressive Charlotte Gainsbourg. You can learn more from the official website.
