Staying Out For The Summer

The cast are on the convention rounds.

Summer is upon us once again, and with it all that the season entails: hayfever, inconsistent weather, cricket, wishing you had a barbecue like your neighbours do, and disappointing trips to stony beaches. But something else that seems to happen during the great British summertime nowadays is an increase in the number of cult/sci-fi conventions going on around the country.

These events have become something of an all-year-round staple in the last few years, but it's in the summer in particular that we tend to see more and more of them. And of course, at many of them you'll find members of the Red Dwarf cast signing autographs, posing for photographs, and sometimes even taking part in Q&A sessions.

While guest schedules can often change at short notice - and there may yet be further events over the coming months that our favourite crew members haven't yet been announced as signing up for - here's a provisional list of the events we know about where you'll be able to catch some of the Dwarfers:

There are several other big name events - including the assorted MCM and Collectormania conventions - that don't yet have any announced Red Dwarf guests, but based on past form, we'd expect that some of them might sign on a bit closer to the time. Once we have news of any further events, we'll let you know!

Of course, by the time we get towards the end of 2015, there might be an altogether more exciting opportunity to see the Red Dwarf cast in person. But we'll save that for another time...
