On The Repeat Trail
Dave's Series II run will feature a very special treat.
26 August, 2016 (Updated 27 August, 2016)
We're sure you're used, by now, to us bringing you news of repeat Red Dwarf broadcasts on Dave. While the majority of fans own the show on just about every physical and digital format imaginable, there's still something nice about seeing episodes broadcast on the box - it continues to open up the possibility of new audiences discovering it, and also serves as a handy reminder that it was the popularity of repeat runs that inspired UKTV to revive Red Dwarf in the first place back in 2009.
So as we approach the third set of UKTV-commissioned episodes, with Red Dwarf XI starting in September, it's no surprise that some classic episodes are being wheeled out yet again - in the shape of a complete run of Series II tomorrow, Saturday 27th August. But even if you're not the kind of person who likes to settle down in front of a cosy, four-hour-long nostalgia fest, we think you might want to reconsider this time.
Because at some point - and no, we're not telling you exactly when, that would spoil the fun - you'll get to see your first glimpse of new Red Dwarf footage, courtesy of the long-awaited Series XI trailer debut! And just to whet your appetite, here's a mini teaser - a trailer-trailer, if you like - of what you'll be seeing:
One more reason to watch our #RedDwarf marathon tomorrow, the new trailer for #RedDwarfXI will launch between 1-5pm.https://t.co/F6jurwbz2R

Here are the timings of each episode - and we suggest you keep yourself glued to Sky 111, Virgin 127 or Freeview 12 for every one of these minutes:
1:00pm | Kryten |
1:40pm | Better than Life |
2:20pm | Thanks for the Memory |
3:00pm | Stasis Leak |
3:40pm | Queeg |
4:20pm | Parallel Universe |
If you're social-media-inclined, keep an eye on @RedDwarfHQ while the episodes are on as well, as we'll be doing a bit of tweet-a-long-a fun that you can get involved with.
Of course, we know that not everyone has access to watch Dave live as it's broadcast - but never fear, the trailer will show up online almost immediately after it airs, and we'll update this very page to include it when it does. But if you want to see it first, well... you know what to do.
UPDATE: And here is that very trailer, in glorious embedded online-o-vision:
