Who do I contact? And yes this is a serious request.
Give me the money, and it'll end up going towards the new series. I promise.
Buy the DVD.
I'm looking around for it too and it doesnt seem to be one, unless they are literally classing these three episodes as season 9, and they work on season 10 for the next series, which doesnt make much sence to me, but then again, not a lot really does anymore
On the small probability that this is serious, you should contact the administrator, Andrew. email@example.com or send him a PM.
9 and 10 were only there as a plot device for BTE to explain all the differences. I doubt it's likely they'll get made, I think it'll go 1-8, BTE, 11 (if there is an 11)
Orbital_Decay i hope your serious and invest a fair ammount
if you do make sure you push the directors to get holly back!
If only there was a website you could use to get in touch with Grant Naylor Productions...
what he said, and one for each of your friends!
Buy 100 copies of the DVD. Seriously though, this ain't a bad idea. Last night, there were 800+ active user sessions on this board. If a thousand fans were willing to donate say £100 each, that's not a bad start, is it? 100 grand...
How much would a new series cost anyway?
Well, I've managed to do a quick google of "Grant Naylor Productions" and found the below contact details. Whether these are still correct I have no idea....but, they're worth a shot and looking at the address given, it seems likely you'll get in contact with the right people as they are based at Shepperton Studios, where they filmed part of this series.
I do think it would be a good idea to contact Andrew the Administrator of reddwarf.co.uk first though, just in case there is a better address or contact detail
Buying the DVD is the first step. Robert Llewellyn said that a new series would be based on reaction to BTE and DVD sales
(Sigh.) This IS the official site.
IX and X aren't out yet (it was part of the story device as other posters have said.), but if this was successful, and the DVDs do well, another series might be produced. Keep your eyes open on the News Section of the main site too.
On the same note,
Any idea how much it actually costs to finance a series (of RD obviously)
that's something i've always been curious about - obviously theres loads of variables blah blah blah..
but i've never been able to find out,
the RD movie was hoping for a budget in excess of 50mil if i remember correctly, does a series require a comparable sum of coinery to do?
