    Parallel Universe with the commentary.
I was surprised, when I heard woman's voice in the conmentary, but then I realised it was just Norman Lovett.

Kryten is really annoying in VII, but he doesn't ruin the season. In fact I've come to really love season VII over the last decade or more despite Kryten's terrible new character trait.

After Series VII and VIII he becomes Kryten again, the robot with a little human inside

I don't think he's ever quite returned to the Kryten of seasons 2 to 6. Mainly because he isn't written as well as he once was.

Just finished The End and Future Echoes. I’ve decided to watch the entire series from the beginning yet again.

I know this sounds way too long I know, but I tend to re-watch Red Dwarf and all DVDs/Blu-rays every 3 years to keep them as fresh as possible. Yes I know that's over 1000 days without Red Dwarf unless there is new material in the offing - fortunately there is a 2020 special - but because the series 1 to 8 Blu-ray set is new in January last year I might do another entire Dwarfathon in January next year possibly. I want to re-experience the upscaled versions of the BBC shows sooner because like I said they are fresh from just a year ago and because the time between my 2015 Dwarfathon and 2019 one was nearly 4 years obviously - which is significantly longer than usual - I will embark on another Dwarf journey faster this time.

But anyway hopefully there will be a great, epic and fulfilling new special broadcast fairly soon with the Blu-ray released soon after, to compensate for my wait for a full Dwarfathon.

I'm doing the same as a countdown to the special, but for some weird reason I didn't have the intention to post about it.

Will do. I will look forward to both the seemingly imminent new material and re-experiencing the classic Red Dwarf next year, as like I said the upscales are pretty new really and deserve to be rewatched sooner this time around!

If I was watching all of the episodes in preparation of this special, I'd have just skipped past season VIII.

I didn't rewatch it recently, but I've been reminded of Dear Dave being stuck in quarantine and how that episode is just them stuck around the ship doing sweet FA. Honestly that episode was really funny, has some of my favorite gags from new Dwarf in it and nearly all of them are from Kryten lol, unfortunate people kinda tore it a new smeghead when it came out, though. Read a G&T article and I think Ian was like, "'Dear Dave' is no longer the worst episode of new Dwarf", don't think it ever was to begin with, I'd give that honor to Entangled or Samsara personally.

TBH, Dear DAve is one of the worst episodes in my opinion.

That's fair, we're all entitled to our own takes.
