Series 3 full disc faulty upscales
series 5 half of episodes faulty upscales
Thank you Samuel!
Any comment from @rob and @douglas
Shouldn’t you be selling some fine leather jackets?
@Seb was online earlier, but vanished without addressing these issues
Bluey has been missing you terribly. Personally I was ecstatic you were gone. Pity you're back
Who did you annoy off the forum? I don't doubt it, but I must have missed it.
If you soiled yourself, Cloud, I suspect it's your fault rather than the fault of the Blu-rays.
Just a comment on twitter. Best not to bring it up. His/her comments have been noted!!!! I’m a good boy now
You smell like mouldy bread
I sure hope they get this resolved quickly...
You smell like mouldy bread
It feels unnatural and creepy to be in this section of the forum. Please return to the aigburth arms section so I can continue telling you what a git you are.
Just click the + Quote button, Neil. You doesn't seem very good at using this forum for a guy, who posts millions of threads everyday.
We can only blame The library computer!!!!
Does it make this noise when you turn it on, @neilold??
Why don't you do everybody on the forum, and the rest of the world, a favour ant and disappear again
Well go on, bog off back to the forum section you came from.
Why are you even in this thread when you've only ever owned a vhs vcr?
Well the news on the forum is good and it seems replacement discs are not too far away now.
Woo Hoo !
Hey ho pick and Dandy.
Boys from the Dwarf
and all that smeg.
Well certainly sounds more hopeful now, like the finishing line is nearly in sight and thank you to the webmaster for the update. Red Dwarf is simply to me the greatest TV Programme of all time and deserves to have all its upscales as decent as they can be, especially for those two series affected which are two of the top 4 in its history IMHO. Although maybe like you said we should have been warned it would take a few months rather than told 4 weeks, as long as it is completed in the end then I will be very satisfied ultimately with the BBC. I hope they will arrive soon and I can enjoy a mini-Dwarfathon of the two series to make sure it is all a-okay (and for my own enjoyment of course too) and to have the box set perfect will be up there with my team winning the Champions League and another series of The Crystal Maze being shown this summer (even if it might well be the last of the revived series as the rating for the first episode was not too good)!
One thing though sundayforsammy - as it looks fairly close now to they are shipped - you didn't watch the affected series yet did you? Not that it matters too much as you would just watch the replacement discs anyway even if you have seen the faulty versions, but I suppose if you are early on in your Dwarfathon you can pause at the end of series 2. Still, what the smeg does it matter ultimately as long as we all get our replacements soon as expected but sorry for my lousy prediction that it would take a few more months, though that response a couple of weeks ago from DVD Support made things look slightly uncertain to be fair.
Still it sound like the good discs are being manufactured right now and I am really looking forward to receiving them, as you may well be able to tell from this post.
@UltraDevotee - I have just gotten through S1 and S2 of the Dwarthathon so I can put off S3 until the new disks arrive .
What has been a little strange though is that the BBC replied to your last email with the response of "We don't have any time scale on the release of replacement disks". Considering the short time between your email to the BBC and the RD News article, they must have knew they were almost ready for production and distribution.
Not to worry though, all's well that ends well.
Thank goodness my tactic of delaying Brexit worked!
Look what turned up this morning
6 months after buying the boxset and not having watched a single smegging episode, finally I can have a binge. I never did test out the original discs though, so have no idea just how bad the picture quality was on those. I'm hoping someone else can confirm these are the real deal before I start my dwarfathon.
